What is Shadows?
Shadows is a deal-acceleration platform for B2B sales teams. It focuses on the stretch between the demo and the buyer’s decision. That is where most qualified deals stall: replies arrive late across time zones, pricing questions wait on finance, and nobody can see what the buying committee is doing.
Shadows gives every deal an AI assistant, called its Shadow, that works inside that window with you.
What the Shadow does
Section titled “What the Shadow does”The Shadow works alongside the deal owner. It:
- Drafts replies to buyers within seconds, in the Deal Room and over email.
- Answers buyer questions in the Deal Room, and passes anything it can’t answer to you as a flag.
- Watches the deal for signals such as a competitor being mentioned, a champion going quiet, negative sentiment, or a close date that has passed.
- Records the outcome of every deal, including why a deal was lost, so your team builds up real data about what works.
You talk to buyers in two places: the Deal Room (also called the Buyer Space) and one-to-one email. Slack and Microsoft Teams are for you and your team, for things like approval notifications. They are not used to talk to buyers.
Your role: the orchestrator
Section titled “Your role: the orchestrator”With a Shadow on each deal, your job shifts from writing every email to supervising many deals at once. You review drafts, step in when a deal is flagged, and spend your time on the conversations that need a human.
The three main parts of Shadows
Section titled “The three main parts of Shadows”1. Deal intelligence
Section titled “1. Deal intelligence”Deal intelligence covers the signals Shadows reads on each deal. These include competitor mentions, champion risk, buyer sentiment, missed close dates, and how buyers behave in the Deal Room. These insights explain why a deal is where it is, and they’re the reason behind each draft the Shadow prepares. You’ll find them in the Deal Cockpit and on the Revenue metrics dashboard.
2. Buyer Space (the Deal Room)
Section titled “2. Buyer Space (the Deal Room)”The Buyer Space is a branded, private room for each deal, shared with your buyers. It holds:
- Content for each stage of your deal flow
- A mutual action plan
- Pricing and quotes
- An AI concierge that answers buyer questions
Each buyer gets their own access link, and you control which stages each person can see. See Buyer Space.
3. The Deal Cockpit
Section titled “3. The Deal Cockpit”The Cockpit is your command center for a single deal. Open any deal from the Deals list to get there. From the Cockpit you:
- Approve, edit, or send the Shadow’s drafted messages.
- Work through the deal’s flags.
- Build the quote.
- See what buyers are doing in the Deal Room.
What supports these parts
Section titled “What supports these parts”- CRM. Deals, companies, and contacts live in Shadows. They can also sync with HubSpot or Salesforce. See Deals list, Companies, and Contacts.
- Tasks. Alerts, buyer requests, meetings, and your own to-dos are collected in one cross-deal list. See Tasks.
- Pricing. Your price book sets the products, prices, and discount limits that quotes use. See Settings.
