Engagement analytics
Shadows tracks how the buying committee uses the Deal Room. You can see who’s engaged, who has gone quiet, and which topics matter to whom, without asking.
All of this is on the deal. A short summary appears on the main Cockpit view, and the full detail is on the deal’s Buyer Space tab.
Buyer Space pulse (Cockpit)
Section titled “Buyer Space pulse (Cockpit)”The Buyer Space pulse card on the deal’s main Cockpit view shows whether the room is Live or Off, the number of active stakeholders, when the room was last active, and how many requests are open. Click through to the Buyer Space tab for detail.

Stakeholder × topic engagement
Section titled “Stakeholder × topic engagement”A heat map with one row per stakeholder and one column per sub-stage (topic), shaded from Low to High by how much each person engaged with that topic. Use it to spot patterns. For example, if your legal contact only ever opens the Legal step, or your economic buyer has never looked at pricing, you know where to follow up.
Stakeholders
Section titled “Stakeholders”A card for each person, showing:
- Approver or Reviewer, and Champion where it applies.
- Their role, and whether they’re Invited, Active (with the last active time), or have No access.
- Finished their part, once they’ve approved or acknowledged everything assigned to them.
- The topics they’ve engaged with.
- A Nudge button.
Room activity
Section titled “Room activity”- Stakeholder activity: for each person, the number of visits, total time spent in the room, and when they were last active. A New badge marks people new to the room.
- Recent visits: the latest visits, each with the person, the device and browser (for example Desktop · Chrome), and when it happened.
Engagement inside widgets
Section titled “Engagement inside widgets”Some widgets record engagement of their own:
- Video player: who watched, and for how long.
- Slides & images and Embedded page: who opened them. Shadows can’t see what someone does inside an embedded website.
- Files & documents with document review: new versions and comments. Unread comments are highlighted.
Buyer actions in the room, such as approvals, requests, uploads, and questions, also appear on the deal’s Activity tab. Repeated Buyer Space events are grouped so the timeline stays readable. See Activity.
Acting on what you see
Section titled “Acting on what you see”- Someone hasn’t visited? Use Nudge, or send them their link again with Share link. See Go live and share.
- Open requests on your side? Answer them from the deal’s Flags rail. See Flags and insights.
