Organization

An organization groups related Shadows workspaces, such as sister companies, regional entities, or business units. Each workspace (also called an account) keeps its own deals, contacts, and settings. Being in the same organization lets them do two things:

  • Share cross-sell opportunities. Products from other accounts in the organization can be linked as complementary products. When a deal reaches a trigger stage, or a buyer mentions a keyword, Shadows raises a cross-sale flag. You set this up per product under Settings → Products, in the product’s Complementing solutions section. See Settings.
  • Appear together in the workspace switcher. Accounts in an organization are grouped under the organization’s name.
  1. Click the workspace name in the top-right corner of the app.
  2. Click Manage organization.

If you don’t see Manage organization, either you aren’t an Admin of this workspace, or the workspace isn’t part of an organization.

The card title shows the organization’s name and how many accounts it has. Each account is listed by name, and the one you’re in is tagged This account.

  1. On the Organization page, click Create new account.
  2. Enter an Account name.
  3. Click Create.

The new account appears in the list, and you stay on the Organization page. To work in the new account, switch to it from the workspace switcher.

Access across accounts is managed per person, under Settings → Team, in the Workspaces column of the team list. See Team and roles.

If your workspace isn’t in an organization, the page says “This account isn’t part of an organization”. Organizations are set up by the Shadows team. Contact support from the Support button in the top bar, once you have a second account you want to link.
