Deals list
The Deals page is your view of the whole pipeline. To open it, click Deals under Revenue Co-Pilot in the sidebar. The number next to the page title is how many deals match your current filters.
Saved views
Section titled “Saved views”The tabs across the top are views. A view is a saved combination of filters, sort order, and layout. Every workspace has two built-in views:
- All deals: every deal in every deal flow, most recently updated first.
- My deals: only the deals you own, sorted by expected close date.
When you change a filter, Save and Reset buttons appear next to the tabs:
- Save updates the current view with your changes. Built-in views can’t be overwritten.
- Reset returns the view to how it was saved.
Click the + button next to the tabs for more options:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Save current filters as a new view | Creates a private view that only you can see. |
| Duplicate as private view | Copies the current view so you can change it freely. |
| Set as my default Deals view | Opens this view whenever you come to the Deals page. |
| Rename / Delete view | Available on views you created. |
| Create shared view for all users | Creates a view everyone in the workspace sees. Admins and Managers only. |
Shared views are marked with a people icon. Private views are marked with a lock.
List and Board
Section titled “List and Board”Use the Board / List switch in the toolbar to change layout.
List view
Section titled “List view”The list shows one deal per row, with these columns:
- Deal name
- Company
- Stage
- Deal value
- Weighted
- Owner
- Expected close
- Last updated
Click a column header to sort by it, and click it again to reverse the order. An expected close date shown in red has already passed.
The footer shows the Total and Weighted value of the deals that match your filters. You can show 25, 50, or 100 deals per page.
Click a deal’s name, or anywhere on its row, to open its Deal Cockpit.
Board view
Section titled “Board view”The board shows each stage as a column of deal cards. Each card shows the deal’s company, value, expected close date, and owner. Each column’s footer shows the column’s total value and its weighted value at that stage’s win probability.
If you’ve selected more than one deal flow, choose how the board is arranged:
- Swimlanes: one row per deal flow.
- Combined: deals grouped into Open, Won, and Lost.
- By stage: stages with the same name merged across flows.
Use ⇅ Sort by to order cards within each column by Expected close date, Deal value, Last updated, or Deal name.
Move a deal to another stage
Section titled “Move a deal to another stage”In Swimlanes layout, drag a card to another column. The card shows Syncing until the move is saved. If the save fails, the card returns to its original column.
When you drag a deal into a closed stage, a Finish the move dialog asks you to confirm the outcome:
- Closed won: add an optional note, then click Close Won.
- Closed lost: choose a Loss reason, add an optional note, then click Close Lost. The loss reasons are:
- Went with a competitor
- Price too high
- Missing features they need
- Timing, not now
- No decision / internal alignment stalled
- Other
The deal stays in its current stage until the close is confirmed.
To start a new deal in a specific stage, click the + at the top of that stage’s column.
Search and filter
Section titled “Search and filter”The search box finds deals by deal name, company, contact, email, or phone number.
The deal-flow button next to the search box (it reads All deal flows by default) limits the page to one or more deal flows. Admins and Managers also see Manage deal flows in this menu.
The filter row below the search box includes:
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Status | Open (the default), Closed (all), Closed won, Closed lost, or All deals. |
| Deal owner | Shows deals owned by a particular person. |
| Stage | Shows deals in one stage. List view only. |
| Product | Shows deals that include a product or price-book item on their quote. |
| Amount | Shows deals whose value is greater than, less than, at least, or equal to an amount, in your reporting currency (USD). |
| Customer size | Filters by the company’s size band. |
| Create date / Close date | Choose a preset such as This week, This quarter, Overdue / past, Next 30 days, or Custom range…. |
| Overdue | Shows open deals whose expected close date has passed. |
| Flags | Shows deals with Active alerts or Active requests. |
| Last activity / Next activity | Filters by when the deal was last worked on, or its next scheduled activity. |
Click Clear filters to remove every filter at once.
If you open the Deals page from a chart on Revenue metrics, the dashboard’s filters appear as purple chips above the list. Click the × on a chip to remove it.
Alert badges
Section titled “Alert badges”Deals with open flags show a badge next to the deal name:
- A red triangle with a number counts the deal’s open alerts. Alerts are risks the Shadow has spotted, such as a competitor mention or a buyer going quiet.
- A yellow inbox with a number counts open requests. Requests are things a buyer has asked for.
To act on a flag from the list:
- Click the badge. The row expands to show each flag by name.
- Click a flag to open its details in a side panel.
You can also work through all of a deal’s flags in the Cockpit. See Flags and insights.
Two other tags can appear next to a deal’s name:
- Closed won or Closed lost shows the deal’s outcome.
- Sync failed means a change didn’t save to your connected CRM.
Bulk actions
Section titled “Bulk actions”In list view, select deals with the checkboxes on the left. The checkbox in the header selects every deal on the current page. A banner then offers Select all … filtered deals to include deals on other pages too.
With deals selected, click Assign owner to give them all to one person, or choose Unassigned to clear the owner. Click Clear selection when you’re done.
Create a deal
Section titled “Create a deal”- Click New deal in the top-right corner. To import many deals at once, use the arrow next to it and choose Import from CSV. See Importing and CRM sync.
- Company: search for an existing company, or create one. To create one, type its website domain and click Auto-fill. Shadows looks up the company’s industry, size, and logo. You can edit anything it fills in.
- Deal flow: Shadows suggests a flow based on the company’s size (“Suggested from company size”). If no flow targets that size, it uses your catch-all flow instead. You can choose a different flow here.
- Contacts: pick contacts already at the company, search all your contacts, or add new ones. Tag each person with their role: Champion, Economic buyer, Technical evaluator, Procurement, or End user.
- Products: add products and SKUs from your price book. You can set quantities and discounts, and a discount needs a reason (the buyer sees it). You can also set the Deal duration.
- Confirm: check the Deal name, Expected close date, and Deal owner. The owner defaults to you. Review the summary, which includes how many Buyer Space widgets will be set up, then click Create deal.
Shadows creates the deal in the first stage of its flow (or in the stage whose + you clicked) and opens its Deal Cockpit. If you added products, the deal starts with a draft quote built from them. You can fine-tune everything from there, including the deal’s Buyer Space, before you share anything with the buyer.
