Room language and translations
Each Buyer Space has one room language. The room’s interface, including buttons, labels, the next-step card, checkout, and emails about the room, appears in that language. Text you wrote yourself can be translated as well, but only after you approve the translation.
Supported languages
Section titled “Supported languages”Shadows supports six languages:
| Language | Notes |
|---|---|
| English | |
| German | |
| Spanish | |
| French | |
| Hebrew | The whole room is shown right-to-left. |
| Portuguese |
A workspace admin chooses which of these your company uses, and which one is the main engagement language, in Settings → Languages. See Settings.
How a room’s language is chosen
Section titled “How a room’s language is chosen”A room uses the first of these that’s set:
- The language chosen for this room.
- The language of the room’s Space template.
- Your company’s main engagement language.
Change a room’s language
Section titled “Change a room’s language”- Open the room in configure mode.
- In the configuration bar, open the language menu. Each language is shown with its own name, for example Hebrew · עברית, and pick one.
- Click Save.
The language change is part of your draft, like any other change. Buyers see it only after Save.
Translating your own text
Section titled “Translating your own text”When a room’s language is different from your company’s main engagement language, Shadows machine-translates the text you wrote into the room language. This covers Text and Tabbed text widgets and the welcome message.
A translation never reaches the buyer until you approve it. Until then, buyers see your original text.
To review translations, open a widget’s editor and expand Translation review. Each block shows a status:
- Awaiting your review: a draft translation is ready.
- Approved: buyers see the translation.
- Source changed – awaiting re-translation: you edited the original, so a new translation is on its way.
- Translation failed – will retry.
For each block, choose Approve, Edit (to correct the wording, then Save), or Keep original.
Buyers see a small Translated label on translated content, with Show original to switch back and forth.
Translating names
Section titled “Translating names”Stage, sub-stage, and widget names can have their own translation for each language. In the widget editor, and in your deal flow’s stage settings, open Translations and click Suggest translations. Shadows suggests a name for each language, and you edit or accept them.
Hebrew rooms
Section titled “Hebrew rooms”A Hebrew room is mirrored right-to-left: the navigation, cards, icons, and pop-ups all flip. Text that people type themselves, such as messages and buyer-edited text, follows the direction of what they write. That means English text in a Hebrew room still reads left-to-right.
The AI Concierge and language
Section titled “The AI Concierge and language”The AI Concierge introduces itself in the room language and replies to buyers in the language of their conversation.
