Messages
The Messages panel keeps every conversation about your deal in one place, so nothing gets lost in a long email chain.
Opening Messages
Section titled “Opening Messages”Click the speech-bubble icon at the top of the room. A small dot on the icon means there’s something you haven’t read yet.
Your conversations
Section titled “Your conversations”The panel lists the conversations available to you:
- Team chat — one shared conversation for everyone in the room: your colleagues, your account executive, and anyone from the seller’s side they’ve brought in.
- AI Concierge — your conversation with the room’s AI assistant. See Asking questions.
- Direct messages — a private one-to-one conversation with a single person on the deal, such as your account executive or one of your colleagues.
- Groups — conversations the seller has set up with a few specific people. You only see groups you’re a member of.
- Asked about — conversations about a particular document or card in the room, started from that item’s Question about this? Ask the team link.
Click a conversation to open it. On a phone, the conversation replaces the list; use the back arrow in the title to return to Back to conversations.
Sending a message
Section titled “Sending a message”- Type in the box at the bottom (Write a message…).
- To bring someone’s attention to it in Team chat, type @ and pick their name from the list.
- To share a file, click the paperclip to Attach a file.
- Click Send (or press the shortcut shown under the box).
You can also start a direct message from the People panel: click the speech bubble next to someone’s name.
Email notifications
Section titled “Email notifications”You don’t have to keep the room open to stay in the loop. When someone messages you, you’ll get an email with a short preview. Messages that arrive close together are grouped into a single email, so you’re not flooded.
You can reply straight from your inbox. Your reply is added to the same conversation in the room, marked via email, so everyone stays on the same page.
Who can read what
Section titled “Who can read what”- Everyone in the room can read Team chat.
- A direct message or a group isn’t shown to other people in the room — only to the people in that conversation.
- Messages are part of your deal with the seller, and the seller’s team can see your conversations with the AI Concierge. Keep anything you wouldn’t share with the vendor out of the room. See Privacy and access.
