Contacts

The Contacts page lists the people at the companies you sell to. To open it, click Contacts under Revenue Co-Pilot in the sidebar.

When you add contacts to a deal, they become that deal’s stakeholders. Stakeholders can be invited into the deal’s Buyer Space.

Use the tabs at the top to switch between:

  • All contacts
  • My contacts: the contacts you own.
  • Unassigned contacts: contacts with no owner.

The table shows these columns:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • Contact owner
  • Company
  • Create date
  • Role

Click a column header to sort by it.

Two tags can appear next to a contact’s name:

  • Opted out means the contact has opted out of email. The Shadow will not email them.
  • Do not call means the contact must not be called.
  • Search name, email or company finds contacts by any of those.
  • Contact owner filters by one or more owners, including Unassigned.
  • Create date shows contacts added in the Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or Last 90 days.
  • Company shows only the contacts at the companies you pick.
  1. Click Add contact.
  2. Fill in the sections. At minimum, you need a first name, a last name, and a valid work email.
    • Identity: First name, Last name, Role (their job title), and Department.
    • How to reach them: Work email, Work phone, Mobile, and LinkedIn.
    • Account & ownership: Company and Contact owner.
    • Location & language: City, Country, and Language.
    • Consent: Opted out of email and Do not call.
  3. Click Save contact.

The work email is how Shadows recognizes a contact. If a contact with that email already exists, Shadows tells you instead of creating a duplicate.

  • Opted out of email: Shadows will never email this contact. That includes drafts prepared by the Shadow.
  • Do not call: excludes the contact from any calling or phone-based outreach.

Set these as soon as a contact asks. They protect you and your company.

Click a contact’s name to open their details. Make your changes and click Save changes. If you have read-only access, the details open in view mode.

You can also add contacts while creating a deal, or from a deal’s stakeholders. See Deals list.

Select contacts with the checkboxes on the left, then:

  • Assign owner: give the selected contacts to one person, or set them to Unassigned. Viewers don’t see this option.
  • Export: download the selected contacts as a CSV file.

Add to sequence is shown but not available yet.

  1. Open the contact and click Delete.
  2. Shadows shows what the deletion affects. For example:
    • The open deals the contact will be removed from as a stakeholder.
    • The deals where they’re the Champion.
    • The Deal Rooms where their access will be revoked.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

Only an Admin, a Manager, or the contact’s owner can delete a contact. Deleting removes the contact from Shadows only. It stays in your connected CRM.

To add many contacts at once, click the arrow next to Add contact and choose Import from file. See Importing and CRM sync.
